But The fruit of the Spirit is love, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.

Today's fruit of the Spirit is Joy.

It was a beautiful day and the birthday girl was so excited for her picnic. She had balloons, snacks and a big cake to share with her friends.

Yay!!! I'm so excited for my birthday party.

Everything was going well. Everyone was having fun.

But then dark clouds covered the sky and raindrops began to fall.

The picnic had to stop and everyone rushed inside.

The birthday girl did feel sad because her party ended.

I guess your birthday is ruined.

Even though is raining. We can still have fun. Come on guys.

The storm didn't take away their fun. The birthday girl still had Joy because Joy comes from God, not from perfect weather. You can have Joy even when thing doesn't go your way. When you know that God loves you and will always be there for you.

Let's look at another story about Joy.

He loved his red kite. He spent the whole afternoon flying it in the high sky.

Look, how high it's flying. This is the  best day ever.

A strong wind  blew the kite out of his hands and into a tree.

Oh, no, My kite!

The kite was stuck. He felt sad because he loved flying the kite.

»It stuck. Wait, I can still have fun. I don't need my kite to be happy.

Come, play with us!

He remembered that joy doesn't come from toys.

Joy comes from being thankful and finding fun wherever you are.

Look, a kite. 

Even though he had his kite back.

He realized he was already happy before he found it again because he chose Joy.

In today's story, we learned about Joy.

You can choose Joy everyday by being thankful and kind in big and small ways and remembering that God will always take care of you.
